As the temperature decreases, the resistance of the matrix decreases, and consequently the flowing current increases, which leads to an increase in the heat output and surface heating. When the temperature rises in this area, the reverse process occurs. Each section of the self-regulating heating cable changes its properties depending only on the specific temperature in the given section, regardless of other parts of the cable. Thus, the self-regulating heating cable does not overheat and does not burn out even when the cable turns are superimposed on each other. Thanks to the effect of self-regulation, the reliability of the system increases significantly, an increase in efficiency and significant energy savings are achieved.
